On Wednesday, Millan blanked the Sundogs saving all 22 of the shots he faced -- earning him and the Fish their first professional shutouts. On Friday, he allowed only one goal while making 26 saves in the Cutthroats 2-1 shootout win.
The Edmonton, Alberta native’s stats this past week are just short of perfect stopping 48 of 49 shots (.980 save percentage). Currently in his first pro season, Millan was a fifth round draft selection of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2009 NHL Draft and for the past four seasons played for Boston University compiling a record of 81-42-12 with eight shutouts.
