How we can protest this stupid lockout and punish both the owners and players, and it's something realistic.

If there is one thing that was ever more apparent to me today it's that between the players and owners, we the fans are one thing to them. A number. A dollar amount, nothing more. All this bullshit that they spin, that they 'love' us, that they want to get the game back to us, it's all BS---this is all a fight over your money. They know you'll be back. And the thing is, they're right. We all know that whenever they start up this abbreviated scam of a season that we'll all be here commenting on the game thread---that's if we're not at the game itself. And that's what kinda pisses me off, we are like sheep, and you know all the previous protests, skipping games, walking out, etc. They never work. So let me propose this:

From whenever this season starts, for a year from that date, we buy no NHL products. It's a protest that is pretty easy to stick to, and I don't know about you, but I need a new Avs Hat, I wanted a Landy Jersey and my avs shirts are getting old, so that would add up to at least 3 or 4 hundred bucks. Multiply that be even a couple hundred or thousand people doing the same, and that will show them just what we can do. If you're going to be just a number, at least be a number with a backbone.
