Recently, I have seen more and more people on the internet saying they are giving up on the NHL for good. I don't buy it, for one reason, the Stanley Cup. There simply is no substitute for NHL hockey, and we all know it. The lockout sucks, I'm not going to argue that, but I believe that when it's time for the Stanley Cup to be raised, all of these people who are "leaving" will be back.
