Bernier Penner Hunter pick
"It's not my fault I never learned to accept responsibility."-Woody Paige
My money
Is on the Kings, cause Lombardi loves this kinda thing and lord knows the Kings just can’t score right meow.
SO, I thought a deal like this might work
CBJ: Nash and a middling pick
LAK: Bernier, Voynov, two high draft picks and if Lombardi is REALLY good a salary dump in Penner
Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cups: 2
Vancouver Canucks Stanley Cups: 0
That's all that matters.

I am not very good about trade rumors but
I would imagine a goalie and a dman for Nash. Bernier and Johnson (maybe this is two much). Seems most of the Blue Jackets talent pool is the forward variety and really need help on the Goalie and blueline.
False
I knew this article would be bull when it was titled “Eklund reporting.” Eklund doesn’t report. He blindfolds himself, throws a dart at a corkboard covered in balloons full of shaving cream and food coloring, and whatever color the shaving cream is dyed, all the teams with that color as their primary or secondary (not color 3-6, Old Nashville, ya greedy bastards) have bingo balls representing them put in a hopper. The team that comes out of the hopper, that’s the team. He then repeats for the trading partner. Whichever team is logically in a selling position, or more of one than the other, that’s where Eklund flies over in his Cessna and dumps out the parachuting monkey, and whichever player’s hand the monkey grabs first, that’s the guy that gets traded.
“reporting,” ha.

Well, Crosby makes 8.7 and Nash takes home 7.8, but yes. It’s crazy. And Nash’s contract is good until 2018.
Just a Colorado girl in Montana who ♥s the Avs and writes for Mile High Hockey.
Eklund's reliable source:

What he says is fun to look at, but if you believe 99% of it, you’re crazy.

Eklund is a gigantic tool.
He spews so much diarrhea that eventually he hits a trade, then goes back through his archives and tries to prove how he really knew what was going on.
My guess is his sources are the secretaries in motels nearest to the offices of every team.
Where Eklund messed up was the way he presented his ‘rumor’. I had just gotten home from work, ran up my stairs and into the bathroom. I had just sat down on the toilet and this is what I get through text msg:
@Eklund: Nash to Kings looks done.
a few moments pass…
@Eklund: Bernier penner hunter and a pick
a few more moments pass…..
@Eklund: Looking for 100% confirmation. But it is a VERY strong rumor
So let’s break these 3 tweets down. First tweet, one of Ek’s ‘sources’ tells him about this trade. Ek has never done anything to prove the validity of his sources, he’s only tried stating how they were right. His source could be a 7 year old child with a keyboard sending him a tweet. Instead of looking into this trade, he pops a twitter boner and without any concern about all of his followers and the mass confusion it could create for the players involved he tweets out this trash. He doesn’t use the word ‘rumor’. He said ‘looks to be done’. Appears done, nearly complete. Without much thought or doubt, that phrase sounds like definitely done. There is little doubt cast in his own tweet. First mistake.
2nd tweet, Ek reports a list of players traded for Nash. He simply lists names. He still casts no doubt, he ‘reports’ it as matter of fact, fine details of the trade. Now he has sent out 2 tweets that appear to be factual. He creates no doubt, he doesn’t use the words ‘rumored, possibly, rumblings’ etc. Now he is 2 tweets deep into trying to be the first to break a trade.
3rd tweet, Ek has a few moments to think about the absurd trade he was just punk’d with. Okay, he feels he has some credibility out there and realizes if Nash was traded for Bernier (unproven talent) Penner (who gives a SHIT about this guy? Hunter (who?) and a ‘pick’ (better be a 1st rounder), Nash was just stolen and was truly available to any and ALL teams as every team in the NHL could spare AHL level talent. Shit, okay, I’m going to try innocently digging myself out. I’ll send out a tweet with the word looking for 100% Confirmation.
Really? This guy is such a fucking tool.
If his stuff is so bad
why do you bother following his twit feed?
Goalie Coach? Goalie Coach!?! We don't need no stinkin' Goalie Coach!
I do enjoy some of his more hockey related blogs versus his fictional rumor posts and getting a sense of who may be available at any given time. It’s his ridiculous & constant “almost done, this weekend will start it all, look for a move in the next 24 hours” blogs with all of his back-tracking that gets annoying.

How about this?
Would anyone go for Quincey and Varlamov for Nash?
Sherman wouldn't
so it doesn’t matter
At exactly what point do you start to realize that life without knowledge is death in disguise?
Doesn’t happen for so many reasons…
Varlamov isn’t a proven number 1.
Quincey is borderline top 4.
BJ’s asking price is apparently a stud goaltender who’s a starter… how is Varlamov any different than Mason behind that horrid defense? Think Rask/Schneider/Price… and then throw in a 1st and a legit top 6 guy, or high end prospect.

Alex, I’ll take “Reasons why Rick Nash will die a Columbus Blue Jacket” for $1,000.
2011-2012 Lokomotiv Yaroslavl: Vyechnaya Pamyat!
2011-2012 Colorado Avalanche: Chances are rapidly diminishing that this will not suck.
