The Prodigal Son Returns: Matt Duchene to play tomorrow night

Stay connected for news and updates

DENVER CO - JANUARY 10: Matt Duchene #9 of the Colorado Avalanche controls the puck against the Detroit Red Wings at the Pepsi Center on January 10 2011 in Denver Colorado. Duchene earned the number one star as he scored two goals as the Avalanche defeated the Red Wings 5-4. (Photo by Doug Pensinger/Getty Images)

Adrian Dater just reported that Matt Duchene has been given the thumbs up by the Avalanche coaches. He will be back in the line up for Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Jets. Peter Mueller is still listed as day-to-day, so (assuming he doesn't play) that means it's not likely Mark Olver will be sent back to Lake Erie, especially after the performance he had last night. My guess is Kevin Porter joins Matt Hunwick in the press box once again.

Lines? Here's the most common thought out on the interwebs:

Duchene - Stastny - Hejduk

Olver - O'Reilly - Landeskog

Winnik - McClement - Jones

McLeod - van der Gulik - Kobasew
