Where’s a video of it?

I was at the game and it didn’t look like a trip, but I watched the replay at home and it seemed like he was trying to swing at the stick and clipped the skate. He got a penalty for that during the game.
But it still pisses me off that Lapierre never got anything for boarding Wilson. So fuck you, NHL.
Yeah, I was at the game too and it didn’t look like anything to me either. That’s why I was hoping for a video of it. Is there an “icing” clause that mandates a fine for that kind of penalty? That’s the only way I can see it being justifiable.

The Altitude replays made it look like a sketchy penalty at best. The call was made simply because of the ugly spill at the end. It looked like he made the call while the net screened his view of the players feet.
If I’m Kobasew, I’m pissed that I didn’t at least get my money’s worth. Literally!

Does anyone else think this “PEAF” fund kind of sounds like that stupid house rule where you put all the tax money from monopoly on Free Parking?
A man who stole my whisky used the defense that no one could resist a bottle of Scotch. I had no choice but to testify on his behalf.
How Kabosew gets a fine for this so called ‘trip" and Powe didn’t get shit for his head hunting of VDG during the Minny game just shows that Shanahan is as big a tool as Campbell was.
Consistency in the NHL, WHEN?
Datsyuk may have done it first, but he learned it from Peter Forsberg.
Thanks for everything Foppa!

I think it is even worse. I think the Shanabanner’s bias against the Avs is really starting to show based on his playing days with the wheel. And it sucks.

I tweeted Shanaban and asked him why Powe’s filthy hit on VDG wasn’t a suspension, bearing in mind that it was a blindside crosscheck to the head with the puck about 50 feet away and VDG wasn’t even in play.
He didn’t answer.

“Upon review, the recipient of the hit is wearing an Avalanche logo. Notice the logo is clearly visible here. Therefore, no suspension.”

aww you sound like a Wild fan
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.
