The AHL transaction log shows that Mike Connolly, a prospect acquired in the trade that sent Daniel Winnik and T.J. Galiardi to the San Jose Sharks, has been recalled from the Lake Erie Monsters. Connolly played 40 games with the Worcester Sharks where he scored 30 points (10g, 20a) before coming to the Lake Erie Monsters. He's played two games with the Monsters, recording one shot on net and zero points in regulation. However, he scored the GWG in the Monsters' shoot out win over the Charlotte Checkers last night. (thanks Dan!)

This move solidifies our belief that the prospects in the trade with San Jose had as much to do with the deal as Jamie McGinn. Tonight will mark Connolly's NHL debut should he play (thanks Steve!).
