Monsters coach David Quinn named Assistant Coach for World Championships

David Quinn is going to be an assistant coach for the US Men's National Team for 2012 IIHF World Men's Championships in Helsinki, Finland, and Stockholm, Sweden. From the Monsters website:

Quinn joins Head Coach Scott Gordon and Assistant Coach Greg Cronin, who were announced on April 10.

Quinn was an assistant coach for the U.S. Men's National Team at the 2007 IIHF Men's World Championship. Additionally, he was an assistant coach for the 2005 U.S. National Junior Team and also for the U.S. Women's National Teams that earned silver medals in the 1999 and 2000 IIHF Women's World Championships.

From 2002-04, Quinn was a head coach for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program. During his time in Ann Arbor, Mich., he was recognized as the 2003 USA Hockey Development Coach of the Year.
