In a move surprising nobody, David Quinn has been brought up from his head coaching duties in Lake Erie to serve as Joe Sacco's assistant coach for the 2012-2013 NHL season. Here's the link to the full NHL story. Quinn joins the recently-promoted Tim Army behind the bench after Sylvain Levebvre and Adam Deadmarsh left those positions in the last couple of weeks. Quinn compiled a 115-94-7-20 record in three seasons with the Monsters after a five-year tour as an associate head coach with Boston University. While he also has a variety of experience coaching at the international level, this is his first NHL coaching job.
