A guy on Reddit's /hockey community is doing this for fun to see where team's fans are located. I know we have a diverse group here so I thought I'd pass the link on so we can be well represented.

He's doing it as a response to this image which is not only outdated (Atlanta still shown), but doesn't include Canada (though there are some fans of Canadian teams in the contiguous 48 states... apparently like the die-hard Oilers fans in Utah?).

Here is the orginal Reddit thread about this survey as well as the Reddit /hockey homepage. (There's also a /coloradoavalanche over there, but for my money MHH has a much better community and more up-to-date info on our team).

There's usually some real interesting stuff linked over there (like this incredible story about Bobby Ryan) as well as breaking news about players, highlights, trades, and everything else hockey related. As with anything Reddit, the cream (usually) rises to the top of the list.
