The Avalanche continue to add depth to the organization with another signing that's designed to fill out the Lake Erie Monsters' roster. Bill Thomas, a 29-year-old winger out of Pittsburgh, PA, was signed today to a one-year, two-way deal worth $550,000 ($115,000 AHL). Thomas spent the last two years as part of the Florida Panther's system. Prior to that, he signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins after having spent three years with the Phoenix Coyotes. His NHL totals are 15 goals and 12 assists in 80 games. He's solid in the AHL, registering 156 points (66g, 90a) in 257 games.
Thomas joins other Lake Erie players who can handle a call up when necessary.
