Okay, so with the MHH lockout, we're locking out EVERYTHING related to hockey, but this is something I don't think any of us saw coming.

Gabriel Landeskog is now the youngest Captain EVER in the NHL.

Here's the link to the Avs website. It was just announced today around 11:15AM. Landy is currently 19 years, 290 days old, beating out Sidney Crosby by exactly one week as the youngest permanent Captain of an NHL team. According to the press release, Milan Hejduk is the one that requested to have the C removed from his jersey, and he'll serve as the Assistant Captain along with Paul Stastny this year. Coach Joe Sacco was the one that named Landeskog to the role this morning. This makes Gabriel Landeskog the 4th Captain in team history and the 10th in Franchise history.

So let's start the obvious discussion: Do you agree or disagree with the choice?

EDITOR'S NOTE: Hat Tip to Andi for getting this up as the news broke.
