Privately, Gary Bettman must be disappointed by the fact that his attempts to bring parity to the league will once again be sabotaged by arenas opening open up and playing actual games which will have disproportionate amounts of winners and losers.

This will taint the pristine parity that his dream of a gameless season would have achieved. The inevitability of the fact that not all the millionaire owners can all win all of the time in spite of their occasional incompetence has to be the kind of thing the Bettman bot would be inclined to be disappointed about.

Plus, he has no counterbalancing love of the game to soothe him.

While I know Bettman lacks the emotions with which we humans must cope when we are disappointed and so will feel none of the pain of his dashed dreams, the poor people who have to write the code that helps him simulate a personality will have a bigger challenge on their hands than they did when they had to simulate his corn dog enthusiasm.
