I was thinking about purchasing Gamecenter live in order to watch the Avs - I live in Ohio so I'm definetly out of market and blackouts dont worry me but I think the features GCL has over center ice are what put it over the top. But I was still curious about the quality of GCL and from what I've seen - It's pretty good so long as you have a decent internet connection with a good bandwidth you should be fine but how does it compare to HDTV? Anyone tried connecting their laptop to a TV through HDMI?
My main concern however is the blackouts - A friend of mine and I were thinking about going in half on it and he lives in Philadelphia and was wondering if he was still subject to blackouts if the account were in my name. I was thinking that your IP address was linked to your area and thats how restrictions were applied but I didn't know for sure. I think if that were the case however then if I were to travel I'd be subject to blackouts based on what city I'm in.
