Don Cherry is speaking out against icings.

Don Cherry has had enough of the icing rule.

On his latest Coach’s Corner segment of Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday night, Cherry voiced his disapproval of the rule, saying it has caused of too many sad injuries.

"The most important thing in my life is some day getting this icing gone."

Cherry said players look confused during the race to touch up for an icing call, putting the players in danger of severe injuries.

The Ottawa 67's have tabbed Travis Konecny to be the face of their rebuild.

The club selected the 16-year-old centre from Bothwell, Ont., with the first pick in Saturday's Ontario Hockey League draft. Konecny had 53 goals and 61 assists in 54 games for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs in 2012-13.

The Coyotes saga continues. Seriously, for their fans I wish a resolution.

The For Sale sign attached to the Phoenix Coyotes is attracting plenty of attention.

So says NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, who insinuated during a press event to announce the 2014 Winter Classic that the league has interested buyers and had no plans "as we stand here today" to move the Coyotes out of Phoenix.

"There seems to be more interest at this particular point in time than we've seen throughout the process," Bettman said Sunday. "This is a work in progress, and it remains such. We're continuing to work on it, and there are a number of things that are in play.
