A full evening of game fours on the docket tonight, including... OUR FIRST ELIMINATION!?!??!?? dramatichamster.gif
#2 Montreal Canadiens at #7 Ottawa Senators (2-1 OTT)
7:00 Eastern, CBC, RDS, CNBC
Game 3 was a rowdy affair with over 100 PiMs a side, a full-on line brawl, unpenalized blatant elbows, feral animals jumping each other, and about a jillion ejections. To a Sens fan, it was a glorious justification of your team's pride and grit, on top of a 6-1 dismantling of the Habs. To a Habs fan, it was enough to drive a dry fan to scotch, a complete and total embarrassing shambles. For the rest of us, a slow-motion car wreck, GONGGGGGG. Oh hey and the Senators are getting back Eric Gryba tonight for the first time since he and #Player61 combined to destroy Lars Eller's face. So that should calm everything down.
#1 Pittsbugh Penguins at #8 New York Islanders (2-1 PIT)
7:00 Eastern, NBC Sports, TSN
If I'm a Pens fan right now, oof .... My all-star team is getting roundly out-worked and only managing to win games because the other goalie is Evgeni Nabokov. My astoundingly average blueline and goaltender have been exposed every time a super-quick opponent sees a seam and rips through them. We're only able to regain control of games by slowing them down to AHL speed and making the neutral zone into a DMZ.
Of course I'm not a Pens fan, so I've got nothing to worry about.
Oh and Sidney Crosby has like a hundred thousand points, or something. Who knows with that guy really.
#1 Chicago Blackhawks at #8 Minnesota Wild (2-1 CHI)
9:30 Eastern, NBC Sports, CBC
The Adjectives made Game 3 a close hockey game by trolling the shit out of the Hawks. Chicago, suddenly too pre-occupied with hitting guys in green to worry about sound defense and scoring goals, allowed Minnesota to jump out to a 2-1 lead, only for Cal Clutterbuck to shame himself and his franchise by being absolutely the worst, creating a tying goal for Chicago late in the third. Pierre would like you to know that Jason Zucker played his NCAA hockey at Denver U before scoring his first career playoff goal, in overtime of all times to do it.
Oh right, I promised an elimination game.
#3 Vancouver Canucks at #6 San Jose Sharks (3-0 SJS)
10:00 Eastern, CNBC, TSN
So, lol, get this, lol, Game 3, okay, out comes Vancouver, lol, you aren't gonna believe this shit, lol so Allain Vigneault or however you spell that shit starts Cory Schneider in net right? LOL WELL 5 GOALS LATER HE PULLED HIM AND FUCKING STUCK LUONGO BACK IN. LOL. But it gets better lol so wait here's Jumbo Joe after the game:
"We felt Lou was playing great," Thornton said. "We felt we were lucky not to play against Lou, to be honest" (CSN Bay Area).
