Hockey caused a heart attack.

The Stanley Cup final has been chock-full of heart-stopping action.

Literally.

Chicago Blackhawks fan Dave Thomas suffered a heart attack while watching the Boston Bruins shut out his team 2-0 in Game 3 Monday night.

He was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill., west of the Windy City, and survived the ordeal.

Two days later, however, the die-hard hockey lover couldn’t resist putting himself at further risk.

A Toronto Maple Leaf player will be marching in Toronto's Gay Pride Parade.

Ben Scrivens is going to Toronto’s Pride Parade.

The Maple Leafs backup goalie will pick up where his former boss, GM Brian Burke, left off and march in the June 30 parade honouring the city’s gay community.

“It’s a no-brainer in my opinion,” Scrivens tweeted in a conversation with Patrick Burke — Brian Burke’s son and president of You Can Play, a group working to end homophobia in sports — who praised the goalie for his participation.

The World Junior Championships in 2017 will be held in Toronto, while the 2015 will be held in Montreal.

They hope to top the record of 444,718 fans at the 2012 world juniors in Calgary and Edmonton, which netted a $21-million profit that was shared by various hockey organizations.

But Nicholson doesn't just want sold-out games. He wants the seats to be filled with fans. They hope to find a ticket sales system that will ensure maximum attendance, although the NHL clubs' season ticket holders will have to be appeased.

Tim Leiweke, president of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, said there were many complex issues, including conflicts of sponsorships among the various organizations, that had to be resolved.
