If you aren't following that man you aren't doing it properly. Another source agrees:
Francois Allaire and Patrick Roy reunited. Deal in principle has been reached. Allaire tells me the desir to work w/ Roy was very appealing.— Louis Jean (@LouisJean_TVA) June 4, 2013
Allaire signs 3 years deal with #Avalanche.— Louis Jean (@LouisJean_TVA) June 4, 2013
Allaire's last gig was with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he was run out of town for not magically turning Jonas Gustavsson into an NHL goaltender or curing James Reimer's concussion. Popularizing the butterfly at the pro level is at least partially to his credit. As Montreal's first goalie coach, Allaire mentored a young Patrick Roy to two Stanley Cups and Conn Smythe trophies. Allaire would later move to Anaheim where he would lead J.S. Giguere to his own Cup and Conn Smythe.
