Wait, WHAAAAT? Hensiiick is in, Richardson is a healthy scratch. WTF?
6+ minutes in and Skratch looks like he's skating in mud.
Some sloppy play in their own end on the PP early in the first, not hustling to pucks, assuming somebody else will pick up the puck and start breakouts, etc. Pretty much like every home game. Looks like they intend to wait till the second period to actually give a crap again.
Back and forth penalties
for most of the 1st. Scramble in the defensive zone results in Brunette running into Liles, who has to be helped off the ice is some serious pain...
Cumisky took himself out of one play cuz of his speed. Maybe Coach Q should ask him to play at 95% so that the mere mortals one the ice with him can still make plays.
Looks like
something with the left knee. He couldn't put any weight on it as he limped off...
Consequently, the D-pairs are in dissarray at the end of the period, guys running around, chasing pucks, etc. That shouldn't happen cuz they dressed 7 anyway...another notch in the coach's belt of ineptitude, IMO.
0-0 after 1st
They just showed the stats, Boots has already made 18 saves in the game. They weren't cheapies like shots from the blueline either, we're talking screens, breakaways, odd-mans, scrambles, the whole shebang.
The Avs better step it up, cuz Budaj is the only thing keeping this from being a rout.

Go to channel 3, not 5 if you are not on digital cable. I had to call to learn this.

I hate the visuals on Altitude, so one dimensional and the signal is often intermittant. I wonder how much better Center Ice is to watch, whether it's worth the cost.

Marek was due. He's worked hard in these two games against the Preds and finally gets rewarded with a nice goal off of a HUGE rebound kicked out by Mason.
