"There was no break for me, I’ve been skating every day and working out," said Forsberg. "Today was a good practice. A decision will be in the near future, so I’ll just keep on skating here for the next couple days and make a decision really quick."

I Don't Believe You Are Using That Word Correctly

Many of you saw this linked in Bub's NW Check In column, but I thought I'd highlight it separately. Over at Hockey Wilderness, our old friend Bryan Reynolds is at it again. He's already shown us...

Daily Cupcakes: January 24th, 2011

Since there is absolutely no news about the Avalanche lately, let's start today's Cupcakes with a preview of the game against St-Louis. Seems like a good night for Chris Stewart to re-become...

Forsberg to Practice with the Avalanche

For the 2nd straight day, very, very surprising news out of Denver. Not really sure what to make of this, but I definitely like it. Beachie's Note: because it keeps coming up in the thread, I thought I'd put this here so that you don't have to look through it to find the info. Tomorrow's practice is at the Pepsi Center during the morning skate. It is NOT open to the public. Morning skates never are. It is highly unlikely that you will be able to get a signature after that skate. The security is a lot tighter than at Family Sports Center. Speaking of FSC, those practices ARE open to the public. The team generally practices most off days unless they have a back to back or more than 2 days between games. Most practices start between 10:30-11:30 am. Always call that morning (I usually do at 9:30) to confirm if they will be there or not and at what time. These practices are your best bet for getting signatures. Players often will stop for pictures and sigs after practice as they're leaving the underground parking lot. I hope that answers all the practice questions! UPDATE: Folks have called and practice is scheduled for 10:15 am New Post articles: Forsberg to skate with the Avs, mulls possible comeback All Things Avs blog

Forsberg talks about the 96 team reunion

Hey! Did you know the Avalanche have a "podcast" section on their site? I didn't, but now I do. http://avalanche.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=32576 Latest "podcast" is the conference call with Forsberg on the 15th. Good stuff.

(Skip this one Joe) Forsberg likely to play for Sweden in Vancouver

Given his continued performance with Modo, it looks like Foppa's a no-brainer for the Swedish Olympic team. Here's to a successful run as it may be a precursor to a return to the NHL next year...whether that be with the Avs or not. I just want to see him play again and not just on HDTV.

Foppa to Russia?? Yeah, right.

The key to that article is in reference to the NHL teams showing interest! I think the Avs would be foolish not to. After an interview with Peter the Great, the Swedish newspaper, Expressen wrote, "For the first time since I don't know when the doctor has declared me fully healthy, it almost feels wierd. Now I'm finally healed. It is perfect and I feel no pain whatsoever", he says with a smile. " I can go for full on training sessions and I can draw on my skates to the max..." I know there are lots of varying opinions on this subject, but I drool when I think of Forsberg playing on Dutchy's left wing. Stick Jones on the right and...oh wow.
