Preview: Avalanche at Ducks

Colorado takes on the team formerly known as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim tonight. Peter Budaj will get the start, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Patrice Brisebois (back) is listed as day to day. Brad Richardson was recalled on Friday with Ben Guite reassigned to Albany (AHL).

Colorado won the previous meeting agains the Ducks 3-2 in a shootout, with the line of Arnason, McLean and Laperriere contributing 3 EV points and notching a +4. Richardson also contributed a goal, his most recent of the season. He has just 3 assists in 14 games since that game.

Anaheim will be without defensemen Chris Pronger and Francois Beauchemen. Anaheim is 8-2-0 in their last 10 games at home, but 4-5-1 in their last 10 overall. The Ducks are 1st overall in the Western Conference, and their 160 goals are tops in the West as well.
