Peter Forsberg is back on the ice. It's not quite the NHL...yet. He'll be playing soon for the Swedish team for something called the Karjala Cup. Forsberg has been practicing with a team in Sweden, but this marks his first return to competitive play. Presumably, it gives Foppa a chance to test his ankle in a game condition. And, of course, it gives the 30-odd NHL teams who would love to sign Forsberg a chance to see him in action. The tournament runs from November 8th through the 11th. After that, you can bet there will be a mad clamor to get Peter into one of these ugly new NHL uniforms Reebok has everyone wearing this year.
