The Avs are 1-4 in the month of February, and, it won't be easy to reverse their fortunes. The Ducks are currently 2nd in the Western Conference, and are 6-3-1 in their last 10 home games. Both teams can score (Anaheim is 5th in scoring, Colorado is 7th). But only one team can stop the puck (the Ducks are 5th in GAA, Colorado is 22nd). Peter Budaj gets the start for the Avs; he has a GAA of 3.42 and a Save Pct of .899 in the 2nd half of the season (and yes, those numbers are better than Jose Theodore's).
The Ducks have been a bit hot and cold lately. In 4 games this month, they've been shutout twice, but also put up 7 goals on San Jose. Stastically, both teams have a good powerplay (3rd for Anaheim, 6th for Colorado). Colorado falls short on the PK (6th for Anaheim, 25th for Colorado). Lately, the Avs have improved their kill (no more than 1 PP goal given up in any of the last 10 games), but still have to stay out of the box to have a chance to win.
Colorado won the only other meeting between the two teams with a 3-2 shootout victory - a game that Anaheim would have won handily if not for the performance of Peter Budaj.
As for roster changes: I suspect Pierre Turgeon (3:41 against Dallas) will be sitting again. I think you might see Svatos sit as well (5:52). May will likely play again - he's played two good games, and the Ducks lead the league in major penalties.
