The new NHL season is almost upon us, and the Avalanche is gearing up for one of their best years ever. If you're a Colorado fan, you're no doubt excited and want to talk about it!
Here at Mile High Hockey, I encourage discussion---this is a fan community as much as a blog---and without fans like you to join the conversation, MHH can't be successful.
Once the season begins, Mile High Hockey will feature open game threads for fans to talk about Avalanche games as they happen---a running dialog just like those found on other great SB Nation blogs. MHH will feature detailed statistical analysis of individual players as well as team performance throughout the season. And best of all, MHH will host blog posts by site members themselves, called "diaries," in which you can discuss your thoughts and ideas in more depth and detail---and others can comment as well.
On October 1st, MHH will be the launching point for an upcoming event called the Avalanche Blogger Roundtable, a huge online discussion between nine blogs and ten bloggers about every important issue facing the Avalanche this season. Mile High Hockey will be the central hub of this event, and you won't want to miss it!
It's going to be an exciting year at Mile High Hockey, but it can't be successful as a community if you don't become a member. It's free, it's easy, and it grants you access to interact with your fellow Colorado fans in a simple-to-use, entertaining forum.
And it's way more intelligent than the stuff you find on the various Avalanche message boards. Seriously.
So join today, start posting diaries and commenting on others' posts. Be a part of the Avalanche fan community, be a part of Mile High Hockey!
