The Avalanche continue a tour of their Northwest Division opponents' digs with tonight's game in Edmonton. Colorado will look to extend their current win streak to three games.
The Oilers have been streaky this year as well, having started the season with four straight wins, then five straight losses, then back and forth with two wins, two losses and two wins before losing their last game against Toronto on Thursday.
The Oilers have also been running a three-way goalie carousel, switching among Matthieu Garon (who has struggled Peter Budaj-style), last season's starter Dwayne Roloson, and rookie maybe-phenom Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers. The Avs are expected to play starter Budaj again tonight. He's been killer lately, which means tonight he'll probably have a total meltdown, right?
Avs captain Joe Sakic will sit out another game with a sore back, but the team expects him to return soon. In the meantime, TJ Hensick is tearing it up and will look to add points to the two he's already scored in the past three games.
