As part of a conscious effort not to say anything bad about the Colorado Avalanche or dwell on the horrendous cesspool of horrific sucking this season has already become, I will instead tell you about my day today.
The campus shut down at noon so I had a half day at work. Classes finished up yesterday, so I didn't have to go to class, but I did have to continue studying for my first final, which is Monday evening. Before I did that, though, I went to Panera Bread to grab some lunch. I had the tomato and mozzarella panini sandwich, which is pretty delicious. After that I had a couple of errands to run and I got my hair cut before being tossed around the various branches of my family tree tomorrow. Must pretend to be respectable so the more accomplished (and financially successful) cousins don't think I'm soiling the proud family crest with my slackery.
As for studying, I'm pretty confident about my knowledge of Torts so far, but there are some weak spots in my understanding and I've been concentrating on those. Proximate cause and I don't get along very well yet. After the Torts final on Monday, I've got a full week to study for my Civil Procedure and Contracts finals, which are pretty close together. Those classes are far more daunting, especially CivPro. With any luck I'll do well in all of them, dominate the class rankings, get hired by a huge firm and make six figures my first year out of school.
In a more likely scenario, if anyone needs an overworked and underpaid public defender to get them out of a bogus pot charge, let me know. I'll see you in court in about three years.
The Avalanche play tonight something something, probably won't win something something, Manny Legace in net something something.
