It's over! Colorado is the first Western Conference team to advance to the second round.

It was a tight game again, with the Avs winning 2-1 (in 14 games between the clubs, it was the first time the winning team had less than 3 goals). Before the series started, I said that the Avs might get some shorthanded chances, and maybe they'd score a key goal on the PK. That finally came true tonight, with Ben Guite netting a shortie in the first.

Another big game for Jose Theodore and probably the best game of the playoffs for Joe Sakic (who seemed to be everywhere tonight). And hats off to Adam Foote who kicked some major ass against Marion Gaborik all series long. Man, that was a clinic he put on out there.

Recap tomorrow.
