What an exciting game. Two teams, both meekly fighting for the last playoff spot in the West, both depleted by injuries and both relying on so-far-lucky goalies who could easily implode at any moment.
The bright side of all of this mediocrity? Wojtek Wolski, who has six points in his last three games since moving to the position of first line center for the Avalanche. His secret? He played center for years until joining the Avs, where the presence of Joe Sakic and Paul Stastny kept him relegated to left wing, a position he's obviously not really suited for. Now, with the top centers out with extended injuries, and Tyler Arnason not really an option (on any line, really), The Baron is now at home in the middle of the ice where he belongs. It's not hurting him much that his linemates are Ryan Smyth and Milan Hejduk, that's for sure.
Really, that's about all worth talking about. Adam Foote is still out, so he won't get to experience the hearty boos from the jaded (and tiny) crowd at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. I guess it's notable that Andrew Raycroft is getting his fourth straight start in goal, but I'm pretty much done talking about goalies this season. Just keep winning, Razor, and I'll love you forever.
