Okay, you folks know the drill. The Thrashers are bad. The Avalanche are also bad. Due to NHL rules and regulations, one team will win. That team will be happyface for the win but sadface for hurting their Tavares chances. Meaningless hockey: catch the fever!
The Avalanche may be missing both Cody Macs tonight. McLeod is definitely out (although he is oddly missing from the SBN injury widget). McCormick is questionable after injuring himself in his one-on-twenty tag team event on Sunday. The Avs have called up Matt Hendricks (the guy we got for Johnny Boychuk); Hendricks has been hot lately, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him in the lineup.
Peter Budaj starts for the Avalanche. Goaliepost.com appears to be down right now, so I don't know who the Thrashers' starter will be. I'm assuming Kari Lehtonen, who is 2-0-0 lifetime against the Avs.
