I'm headed for breakfast with the family, so no wind-baggy recap from me today. Here's a few quick thoughts:

  • Congratulations on the 1st NHL goal, TJ Galiardi. Score 3 more this year and you'll tie Hensick for the team TJ lead. No matter what, I hope there's many, many more where those come from.
  • Excellent reaction time from Lappy, who was on his way to retrieve the puck for TJ in 3.2 seconds.
  • Also, no point for Matt Hendricks on the play, but his screen of LaBarbera was key on the goal. Why haven't we seen this guy sooner? I know we have an abundance of that type of player, but I like what I've seen.
  • Avs were 0-4 on the PP and couldn't get one of their 10 PP shots to go in. Just one of many, many things that needs to be fixed.
  • The Avs are so thin they played a player short as Wojtek Wolski missed the game due to illness (it makes me ill too, Dubya). After Ian Laperriere got tossed (why does the unsportsmanlike signal look like a bird flapping it's wings?), the Avs were down to 10 players.
  •  Maybe they should have dressed Ryan Stoa - he watched the game and was interviewed by Softball Keef during the game.
  • The Avalanche are officially eliminated from postseason contention.
  • Speaking of that, once Lake Erie is eliminated, shouldn't we expect Weiman or Bacashihua to get a look over the final few games?
  • There was no change in the Ti4T standings.
  • Next game is Sunday night (in Anaheim)
