Since the Avalanche are giving me absolutely nothing to write about and since it doesn't look like that status is going to change anytime in the near future, it's time to get cracking on the Final Grades. It's a depressing job, but somebody has to do it.
Actually, it looks like somebody else is going to do it. Brian Thompson has already done report cards for the offense, defense and goaltending and it appears he's going to break down everyone individually as well. The more the merrier. Or misery loves company.
I actually am looking forward to doing the grades this year, and I have some features planned that may be kind of fun. The plan is to do one a day during the week, which should take us into mid-June where we can switch to the draft and free agency before we enter the dead zone in the middle of summer. Maybe by then we'll have a new coach to talk about...
As I mentioned the other day, my old ITCS content has been moved over here, so you can peruse the 2007 and 2008 final grades (and watch in amazement as I use the same Montgomery Gentry song lyrics for Patrice Brisebois and Karlis Skrastins). I'm going to try to build a little index today to put in the left sidebar. Or, I might just stare longingly out the window at all that glorious sunshine. Sigh.
