You thought the Forsberg news was big? Ha! The Colorado Avalanche have been slowly ramping up their internet presence lately and today have been offering up tickets to tonight's game via their official Twitter feed.
I've teased them in the past (repeatedly) about their lackluster attempts to connect with fans so it's only fair that I take notice of their vastly improved efforts. The team has done a really good job with posting relevant information on their website. For example, training camp rosters were released before many other teams did so and there have been a lot of "special interest" stories like Craig Stancher's story on Matt Hendricks. Of course, I think this is all tremendous progress. Still room for improvement, for sure, but I'm excited to see them making strides.
