Talk about feeling Minnesota. The Avalanche played the former North Stars on Sunday, the Wild last night and now we're back to the Stars. I hope we're done with anything to do with Minnesota for a while now. If I find out we're playing Marion Gaborik's team on Sunday, I might have to scream.
Needless to say, the Avalanche will be looking to rebound from last night's tough loss. So far this year, the Stars have been easy pickings with Colorado winning both matches so far by an combined score of 8-1. Both wins were at the Pepsi Center though; Dallas is much better this year at home (15-5-5).
A win by the Avs won't get them back into first in the NW, as Vancouver has more wins than Colorado. However, it would get them back into 4th and keep them within striking distance of that division title. A single point tonight would also guarantee the head-to-head series against Dallas this year, but two would be better. No pressure.
