First the Over/Under

The Colorado Avalanche are solid 62.4 percent favorites over the St. Louis Blues.

Sean Avery is at it again.

"I just watched my teammate ask a guy to fight," Peckham said. "Avery said ‘No, no next shift.’ And as soon as Smider turned around, he sucker punched him. He skated by our bench laughing. I definitely made a mistake and went a little wonky, but we’re family and sometimes you have to make a stand for yourself." "It was a sucker punch," Fraser said. "I think he had his chance, fair and square, 1-on-1 with (Smid). I could hear (Smid) with my own ears. ‘Let’s go, let’s go.’ Hey, if you don’t want to fight, that’s fine. You don’t have to fight. But you can’t punch the guy after you’ve already said no."

Theo Fleury is HHoF eligible.

It doesn’t look like Theo Fleury will be getting into the Hockey Hall of Fame anytime soon. Due to the indefinite suspension that hung over him for years, his lone season in Europe and a brief tryout in Calgary, there was confusion over exactly when the former Flames captain became eligible for Hall inclusion. A Hockey Hall of Fame official confirms the Little Big Man has actually been eligible since 2009, meaning he’s been overlooked by voters twice.

When Colorado face against the Dallas Star, it's going to be a special night

At the Nov. 20th game vs Colorado, the Dallas Stars will be going all out to support Taylor's Gift. Fans will be able to donate to the cause or sign up to be an organ donor at the Dallas Stars Foundation table, or receive blue Taylor's Gift wristbands at the merchandise stores for a small donation.

A Colorado preview

Colorado has alternated losses and wins in its previous five games. The Avs are averaging 5.3 goals in their last four victories while scoring four times in their previous three defeats. Defenseman John-Michael Liles, tied with Milan Hejduk with a team-high 12 assists, got his first goal of the season in a 3-1 loss at Detroit on Saturday. Chris Stewart leads the Avalanche with 10 goals and 18 points, but has one goal in the last five games. David Jones and Paul Stastny each have six goals, but have managed three between them in the team's eight losses.
