The Colorado Avalanche have announced their training camp schedule, with camp opening on Friday, September 17th. The first preseason game is Tuesday, September 21st. Interestingly, the rebuilding-but-not-cost-cutting team will not hold on-ice sessions with the rookies prior to the beginning of camp. Rookies report on September 12th, but will only take part in "off ice workouts".
