Preseason Game 4 Recap: Blues 2 Avalanche 0

The Avalanche fell to the Blues 2-0 last night in Denver. Craig Anderson played the whole game and faced 37 shots, the Avalanche couldn't score on 6'7" goalie (and Denver native) Ben Bishop and the Avs' powerplay was 0 for 6 and is still 0 for the preseason (21 opportunities). In other words, the Avalanche are in midseason form already!

Looking through the box score, there's a few notable lines. Ryan Wilson and Patrick Bordello of Blood each were involved in a fight. Ryan Stoa had 3 shots and 5 hits while playing in Peter Mueller's vacated spot on Duchene's line; Stoa also had 2 penalties (roughing and interference). And Paul Stastny won 17 of the 23 draws he took - a whopping 74%. There's a fan post up with some other observations. Worth checking out.

Other than that, it doesn't look like we missed much.
