Minnesota is calling up a few players, the Avs may be facing against them tonight.

The Minnesota Wild called up goaltender Matt Hackett and defenseman Jared Spurgeon from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League today, and both will be available when the team plays host to the Colorado Avalanche tonight.

A preview for the Avalanche / Wild game.

The Minnesota Wild could be without their top two goaltenders this evening when they try to avoid a third straight loss in a matchup with the Colorado Avalanche at Xcel Energy Center.

MHH nicknames sure are popping up everywhere...

As of late, however, the Avs have desperately been missing two specific players who bring a lot to the table.  Both Chris Stewart and Cody McLeod (the Highlander) have been out of the lineup, and they have both been cleared to return to action for tonight's game against the Minnesota Wild.

Another preview

"Early in that game, we might have put one in and it would have been a different game, but we didn't," said All-Star center Matt Duchene, who has three goals and an assist in eight games against Minnesota.
