Colorado Vancouver Recap... how's this for a backhanded compliment.

Slight in size, unremarkable when skating, Shirokov proved a player doesn't need either to have some dominating shifts in the NHL.

Kinda feels nice to see this doesn't it?
The Canucks blew three one-goal leads and finally fell 4-3 in overtime to the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center.

Kyle Cumiskey still not ready...

After the morning skate, coach Joe Sacco said that Cumiskey still "needs a couple more days" and won't be available for Tuesday night's game against the Vancouver Canucks.

I can't say I'm shocked.. the Blues aren't happy that the players they sign get snapped up during the waiver entry process.

While St. Louis Blues' president John Davidson accepts losing recently signed players Marek Svatos and Kyle Wellwood to the waiver process, he isn't happy about how the situation played out.

Tomas Fleischmann is heaping praise onto Duchene

Having played in Washington for years, Tomas Fleischmann knows some things about playing with superstars. He also knows Matt Duchene is one, even if the rest of the league may be a little slow on the uptake.

"If you look at our games, he’s the best player all the time."

In case you missed it, or the link... Matt Duchene was on Puck Daddy yesterday. You can listen here, it's around the thirteen minute mark.
