Sorry for the late posting here. Honestly, I kind of forgot there was a game today. The Avalanche are in Vegas (baby) to play the Kings in the 14th annual Frozen Fury contest, with the game starting at 7MT / 9 ET. The Avalanche have taken part in 12 of these events and are 4-7-1 all-time.
This is the final preseason tune-up for the Avs, who are 1-4-0 so far. Tyson Barrie and former King Kyle Quincey lead the club in scoring with 3 points each. Joaqim Lindstrom, Ryan O'Reilly, Stefan Elliott, Dan Winnik and Brad Malone all have two points. 13 of the 26 active skaters are scoreless so far in the preseason.
Officially, the Avalanche have announced no moves since demoting Holos, Gaunce and Stoa. However, Trevor Cann is playing for Lake Erie as I type this, so we can cross him off the roster. Not that this is a shock, but it sure is frustrating not to have timely announcements of transactions.
The game will not be televised, but the radio stream is available as normal.
