After a few so-so games, the Avalanche closed out the preseason with a 4-1 win over the Kings in Nevada, baby, Nevada. The Avalanche outshot the Kings 30-14, finally got some scoring from the top lines (Duchene had two goals while Stastny and Jones had the others) and finally connected on the powerplay (at least two goals on the PP).
The Avalanche now have the week to prepare for the season opener next Saturday against Amway and have some roster moves to make to get down to 23 active players (hopefully ones they announce, unlike the apparent stealth demotion of Trevor Cann).
