Duchene out for about a month with a knee injury.

The Colorado Avalanche have released an update about Matt Duchene via their Twitter feed, and the news isn't good.

UPDATE: Matt Duchene will be out at least a month with a knee injury.

Matt went down awkwardly against the Phoenix Coyotes and his knee is angry with him. Before this injury, Matt had played 39 games this season and netted 12 goals and earned himself 12 assists. This will be the first thing in his NHL career that he misses more than two games. Adrian Dater has said that the Avalanche aren't expected to bring anyone up as they think David Jones might be ready to play during their New Year's Eve match up against the Anaheim Ducks.

I, for one, find it scary that they say: "at least a month". Here's hoping the swelling goes down quickly and he heals nicely. Who do you think will step up during this crucial time?
