Here we go again. Now I'm going to try and do the Cupcakes again, might be difficult to find happy, fluffy, cheery ones... but Cupcakes nonetheless. Oh and if someone wants to photoshop this Cupcake to make it more "Avalanche" go for it. :)

"They said, ‘Okay, do you want to spread the teams out?’ I said, ‘no, no, us two against you four - and they were four older guys. They didn’t really know who we were. So we start playing and I was getting my brother to score every goal. It was quite an experience for me.

"After a while, the guys picked up that I was playing in the NHL.

Even though he knew he could play in the NHL, the fast start has surprised even the Avalanche rookie himself.

"I don’t think there’s anyone more surprised than me. I obviously knew that I had the confidence that I could play in this league and make an impact for Colorado," Shattenkirk said.
