ugh.
So I could go through and give you a play-by-play of all the goals Edmonton scored, or the penalty kills that the Avs blew, or the power plays on which the Avs never capitalized, but to be honest, I'm still reeling from this loss. I've never wanted to leave a hockey game early, but I seriously considered it as the clock ticked past 6 minutes left. If you really want to know all the details of how the worst team in the league rubbed out the Avalanche the way the ice dudes rubbed out Cody McLeod's blood from center ice, then check out the official recap.
Here's to hoping that Ryan O'Byrne is okay (skate to the cheek) and a stick tap to the Highlander for taking his teammate's stick to the face and coming back out for the next period anyway.
Finally, congratulations to John-Michael Liles on his 200th career assist, 2nd defenseman in Avs history to reach that milestone. Sorry it wasn't on a night worth celebrating, Johnny.
UPDATE: Here's the video of O'Byrne's injury. The warrior continued his shift before leaving the ice for the locker room.

Cee Lo Green pretty much captures how I feel about it (in a very NSFW kind of way), but here is the ugly truth of tonight...watch at your own risk.
