Post-trade deadline details: Current roster stays put, Avs prospect heads to Edmonton

So, I'm sure everyone knows that I'm finally breathing again. Despite all the annual hoopla, Liles once again stayed in Denver. I guess this time around, there really were a lot of teams interested (including Toronto, Columbus and Buffalo), but according to Dater, their offers were somewhat of a joke.

Here's a run-down from AD about the one small trade that did happen: Shawn Belle to Avs for Kevin Montgomery

Colorado moved defenseman Kevin Montgomery to Edmonton for another defenseman, Shawn Belle, first-round pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2003.

Montgomery, 22, was a fourth-round pick by the Avs in 2006. He has yet to make his NHL debut. In 51 games this season with Lake Erie of the American Hockey League, Montgomery has two goals, 17 assists and 34 penalty minutes.

Belle, 26, has played in five games with Edmonton this season, and 16 in his three-year career that includes stops in Minnesota and Montreal. Belle has played in 39 games with Oklahoma City of the AHL this season, where he has three goals, 17 assists and 61 penalty minutes.
