After last nights' game, I'm hoping that Mark Olver doesn't have a concussion. There is a recap, but I found a few small errors.

It didn’t appear to be a blindside shot — Komisarek’s shoulder hit Olver, who was leaning forward, in the face. The league may follow that up. Olver left the game with a head injury.

This kinda made me excited for the Avs!

Defenceman Stefan Elliott is the eastern nominee for the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy for WHL Defenceman of the Year. Elliott had a phenomenal year for the Blades, scoring 31 goals and tallying 50 assists to go with his league leading +62. Elliott also set a team mark for all-time points for a defenceman, ending his career with 241 points in 282 games, breaking Pat Price’s record of 239 set in 1974.

Elliott is up against Tyson Barrie from the Kelowna Rockets for the award.

Super small snippet, but an update on yet another ex-Avs
