Below are the unofficial season splits for the Avalanche. This is all tabulated by me on a somewhat sketchy Excel spreadsheet, so don't base any bar bets on this or anything.
Obviously, these numbers aren't exactly super awesome. Is it too late now to petition to move to the Central division next year? We won 3 season series - Chicago, Columbus and St Louis - and tied one other - suck it, Detroit. Of course, 14 of the 20 games against the Central came before the big February meltdown, so these stats may be skewed just a bit.
There's talk that Colorado might move to the Pacific division if the Coyotes call a do-over and move back to Winnipeg. The Avs pretty much got our asses handed to them by that division last year. Just sayin'...
