First up Burnaby Joe. Joe Sakic is being inducted into a Hall of Fame.
Joe Sakic will be inducted into the Swift Current Broncos Hall of Fame on Aug. 6.
Sakic, a former NHL star with the Quebec Nordiques and Colorado Avalanche, played for the Broncos during the 1986-87 and 1987-88 WHL seasons.
A look into a potential draft pick. Maybe the Avalanche are hoping to get him with the eleventh pick.
Sven Bartschi has certainly played his way into the conversation for a top ten pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Like his fellow teammate, and countryman, Nino Niederreiter, Sven has had an impressive draft year. Despite posting strong numbers in the regular season, and playoffs, the Swiss forward still has many questions surrounding his overall game and final offensive upside. The question remains, is Bartschi worthy of a top ten selection?
An article about Clutterbuck, who is part of Team Canada at the IIHF championships. Duchene calls him a bowling ball.
There are automatics on this team like Rick Nash, Matt Duchene and Jason Spezza; top-six forwards whose teams didn't make the playoffs, freeing them up to answer that call. And there are hidden gems like defenceman Marc Methot, who is a blue-line beauty, and Clutterbuck, who is quite simply a better skater, a better player and a better guy than you might think.
