Brian Elliott, Philippe Dupuis Not Tendered

Adrian Dater is reporting over at the Denver Post that the Avalanche have not tendered qualifying offers to G Brian Elliott and F Philippe Dupuis, thus relinquishing the restricted free agent rights they would have otherwise had. Cutting loose Elliott means the Avalanche will have no goalies on the NHL roster when free agency opens on July 1st. Here's to hoping the Avalanche are prepared to spend a pretty penny this Friday morning. While letting Dupuis go will certainly be an unpopular move within the fan base, the team has been able to recover from the loss of fourth-line players in recent years. Hopefully this trend continues.

Elliott finishes his Colorado career with a 2-8-1 record, .891 SV%, and a 3.83 GAA and Dupuis finishes with 6 Goals and 12 Assists for 18 Points to go along with 46 PIM and a -4 +/- in 86 Games Played.

Also noted in the bottom of the story is that the Avalanche have tendered qualifying offers to Ryan O'Byrne, Kyle Cumiskey (surprise!), Kevin Porter, David Jones, T.J. Galiardi, and Ryan Wilson.
