ESPN has a recap of the match between the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars.
DENVER -- Ryan O'Reilly scored two goals, Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 16 shots and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Dallas Stars 3-0 in a preseason game Sunday night.
Ryan Stoa also had a goal and Kyle Quincey had two assists for the Avalanche, who won for the first time in three preseason games.
A preview for WHL's Western Conference.
The biggest hole the Rockets will have to fill is on the backend where Tyson Barrie is expected to stick somewhere in the Colorado Avalanche system. Picking up the offensive slack, along with quarterbacking the power play, will become major concerns in Kelowna.
And an update on Ducan Siemens.
Both teams were physically charged up from the drop of the puck, with Blades’ captain Duncan Siemens – fresh off his return from the Colorado Avalanche camp – taking a shot at Raiders co-captain Mark McNeill in open ice.
"I thought the game went fairly well tonight, we had our struggles but we’ve overcome those and come out with the win," said Siemens, who captained the Blades Saturday in his first game back with the team.
