The Flyers and Rangers have officially announced that they will be taking part in the Winter Classic, and that there are HBO camera's around.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Not even a joint announcement of the Winter Classic could thaw the rivalry between the Rangers and Flyers.

Hope the "24/7" cameras were rolling.

New York team president Glen Sather grabbed the microphone and made his bid to host the next Comedy Central roast.

"We're going to come to Philadelphia," Sather said, "and we are going to win."

Wayne Simmonds is being accused of using some ugly words on-ice, and he doens't deny having said them.

Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds is once again the focus of a controversial on-ice incident, only this time he is accused of being the perpetrator.

New York winger Sean Avery told that Simmonds uttered a homophobic slur at him during Philadelphia's 5-3 pre-season win over the Rangers on Monday.

Owen Nolan has been cut from the Vancouver Canucks.

Owen Nolan's road back to the NHL has hit a dead end.

The 39-year-old former all-star was released by Vancouver on Sunday after the Canucks lost 4-3 to the San Jose Sharks in a pre-season game.
